In yesterdays post I mentioned that I made the Scrap Vomit Quilt using the quilt squares as leaders and enders. I wanted to explain this term a little more clearly.
When I begin to sew pieces together on my sewing machine I like to begin with some fabric already under my presser foot.
This allows me to sew right off this piece and onto the pieces I am now joining. I then will chain piece any number of pieces together without breaking the thread between each section. When I have sewed as much as I want I then add another "ender" piece and sew onto this before cutting my thread to remove my blocks. Wow, not sure that I made that all that clear.
This book is from Bonnie K. Hunter that can explain this way better than myself.
